Room Parents
Assist the teacher with a variety of activities including coordinating volunteers, copying, class parties, collecting party/project donations, special class projects, and other classroom activities as requested. At least one team member will need to take a lead role in coordinating the volunteers and activities.

Publix Math Night:
---- Work with Publix to coordinate a fun student math activity night. Time Req.: 1 evening at event + 3-5 hours at home planning

Recycling:
----- Assist and encourage recycling at Ocee (bottles, can, paper, etc.). Time Req.: 1+ hr…As much or as little as you want.

Young Authors:
----- Help put together Young Author books for your class only. Project begins in January

Class Photographer:
----- Take photos of the class throughout the year for the yearbook committee.

Class Photographer Grade Coordinator:

Scholastic Book Club Parent:
----- Coordinate book orders for the class. Collect order forms, place orders, sort and deliver books.

Accelerated Reader (Grades 1-5):
----- Assist the committee with updating the AR track and awards distribution activities. Involves 5 hours per month. Some of the activities can be completed from home.

Spirit Day:
----- Pop popcorn and deliver to classrooms on the 1st school day of each month. Take pictures.

Media Center:
----- Help restock shelves, assist children with checking out books, taking AR tests, finding books...

Hospitality:
----- Donuts for Dads, Muffins for Moms, Teacher Appreciation Week, Grade level teacher lunches (any or all of these)

Science Zone Grade Level Chair (Need Grades 4-5):
----- Schedule Lab Activity Leaders, set-up labs, and order a couple supplies for your grade. Step by step directions provided. Each grade has 1-3 “labs in a box” per year. Time Req.: 10-15hrs/3 times per year.

Science Zone Lab Activity Leader (Grades 1-5):
----- Instruct students on how to conduct simple pre-made “labs in a box”. No experience nec. All materials/step-by-step directions provided. Time Req.: 1 hr per classroom. Sign up for 1 or more classes.

Science Zone Student Lab Helper:
----- Assist students during lab by following teacher’s directions. No experience nec. Time Req=1 hr per class.

Hearing & Vision Screen (1,3,5):
----- Assist with conducting hearing and vision tests on Oct 6 from 7:15-11:30am

Fifth Grade Farewell (Grade 5):
----- Plan activities to celebrate the students' last year at Ocee.

Battle of the Books (Grades 4, 5):
----- Need 5th grade Program Coordinator and 1 volunteer per 4th and 5th grade class to assist their child's classroom during a Battle of the Books meeting (formerly Lunch Bunch/Read & CompEat). Time Req.: Coordinator 5-10 hrs, mostly at home; Class Volunteer- 1 hr. per meeting. Up to 4 meetings per year.

K-Kids (Grades 4, 5):
----- Assist with this student-led community service club. Time Req.: 1+hrs. Meetings can be before / after school or help at a weekend event.

Kindergarten Program (Grade K):
----- Assist with a special Kindergarten program. Time Req.: 3-5 hrs.

Box Tops and Campbell's Soup Lables (Grade K, 1, 3 needed only):
----- Collect and count Box Tops and Campbell's labels twice a year about 3-5 hours over the course of the school year.
