Science Zone is a hands-on science lab program for all Ocee students in grades 1-5. The labs are designed to enhance each grade's science curriculum, making the material more relatable to students by offering additional activities not available in the regular classroom. During each lab, a Science Leader introduces the subject matter, provides background information and gives instructions on how to conduct the lab. Parent volunteers help the students perform the experiments. Room parents coordinate the parent volunteers for each class prior to the labs.

1st graders attend one lab, 2nd graders attend two, and 3rd, 4th and 5th graders each attend three labs during the school year. All labs are approximately 50 minutes long and take place during school hours.
